Paleo – Advanced Nutrition For Health
The Paleo Diet is the best nutrition plan I have found. Also known as The Caveman Diet popularized by Dr. Loren Cordain. Paleo eaters improve their health by eliminating grains, beans and seeds from their diet. Grains include wheat, rye, barley, rice and oats. Paleo eaters have mostly vegetables, organic grass-fed animal protein as well as fruit and nuts. Staple grains and agriculture have only been around for the last 10,000 years. Due to slow evolution our digestive systems have not had time to acclimate to these high-glycemic inflammatory grains. Now more people are becoming intolerant or sensitive to wheat. And more people are joining the Ancestral Health community after experiencing health strides eating more like a caveman. This surge of sensitivity is caused by genetic food modifications. GMOS or genetically modified organisms have become a large unfortunate part of our food supply. For these reasons and more, we are also becoming more intolerant and sensitive to other grains and foods. This development creates a need for a different way of eating. We need to reestablish healthy eating habits that our bodies crave and thrive on.
Listen to your bodies wisdom. We are not all created equal. We all have different dietary needs so Paleo may not be right for you. If you are a vegetarian, I would recommend eliminating grains in order to increase your health. If you do have grains or beans, make sure they are sprouted and soaked.
