1. Does Acupuncture Hurt?
Most of the time acupuncture needles feel like almost nothing or like a mosquito bite. Occasionally you may experience a point that feels like a bee sting.
2. When Will I Notice the Acupuncture Is Working?
The average treatment could take 1-3 treatments before a change is notice. In my office, most patients feel a change after the FIRST treatment.
3. Are the Needles Sterile?
State law requires the Florida acupuncturists use single-use disposable needles that are sterile and pre-packaged. Needles are then disposed of in a Sharp's bio-hazard container.
4.Is There Anything Inside the Needle?
The needles are solid and thin like a cat whisker.
5. How Does Acupuncture Work?
Acupuncture needles stimulate special points along the body called acupuncture points which are located on the acupuncture meridians. Overall circulation is improved with acupuncture and certain factors are stimulated such as anti-inflammatory factors and pain-relieving chemicals
6. How Much Will It Cost?
Cost of treatment depends on the area, the practitioner and the amount of time being treated each session.
Treatment costs are $95 for new patients and $95 for 45 min follow-up sessions and $65 for 20 min follow-up sessions. Please call (904) 240-5927 to schedule.
*Rates will increase to $100 in 2020 for NEW patients for 45 min follow-up sessions and to $70 for follow-up sessions that are 20-30 minutes.
7. What Can Acupuncture Help?
Acupuncture was meant to be preventative medicine but it can help almost any health condition even for people with bleeding disorders. Sometimes surgery can be avoided for those with chronic pain due to musculoskeletal injuries and imbalances such as having a herniated disc. Here are some conditions I have had success with: Anxiety, Stress, Headaches & Migraines, Low Energy, Insomnia, Digestive Disorders, Lupus, Fibromyalgia, Lyme's Disease, all kinds of Pain...and more!
Currently not accepting insurance at this time. Reasonable out-of-pocket rates offered.
