About me:
I grew up in Mobile, AL – the original home of Mardi Gras in the US. Prior to becoming an Acupuncture Physician, I did various office jobs. Even though I was very good at office work I was never truly satisfied with these job choices. I always felt drawn towards helping people in a bigger way. Fortunately I discovered acupuncture at age 26. And I decided to become an Acupuncture Physician after my very first visit. After years of suffering with Chronic Fatigue and frequent colds and flus, acupuncture gave me sustainable energy and vitality. I enjoyed stronger health and a more positive attitude about myself and life. I love the feeling that acupuncture provides and I always get regular acupuncture myself. Acupuncture is a natural high for me and makes me feel great. In my personal time I spend time with friends and family. I also enjoy Nature hikes, Yoga, meditation, and SCIFI/Fantasy books and movies.
My goal as an acupuncturist is to pass on the healing I received. I want to “spread the health” through acupuncture and health education. I love being an Acupuncture Physician and helping people. My passion is nutrition and digestive health which I feel is key to good health. It is the reason why I am known as “The GastroIntestinal Health Specialist” in addition to "The Chronic Patient Specialist."
My Acupuncture Physician training:
I received my Master’s Degree in Acupuncture and certification in Chinese Herbs from the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture in Florida in 2006. In acupuncture school, I also became a Reiki Practitioner. I had the honor of being an Herbal Supervisor at my graduate school for over a year. And I have completed a year’s worth of training with Wei Laboratories on their formulas and protocols.

I am a licensed and Nationally Certified Massage Therapist and former NYC Emergency Medical Technician. I am experienced in treating a large variety of muscular and soft tissue disorders and dysfunctions. My approach to bodywork is comprehensive and holistic. Getting to the root cause of a recurrent ailment and enhancing the body's natural healing capabilities is one of my primary goals for everyone who seeks my services. I am confident in my understanding of anatomy and physiology and enjoy educating my clients about their bodies whenever appropriate and in doing so raising self awareness. In my practice, I may incorporate deep tissue, neuro-muscular, trigger point, cranial-sacral, myo-fascial and scar release therapies; aromatherapy, REIKI, hydrotherapy, thermal therapy via the use of heated stones and infrared technology; passive stretching and muscular retraining. I strive to treat everyone fairly, justly and professionally regardless of age, gender, race, religion or sexual orientation. I have built my practice on personal referrals. My clients continue to seek my expertise by choice, not by chance and I am available by appointment only. I can be reached for appointments by calling (904) 412-1428. Thank you for considering me for your bodywork needs!
